25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Angelica Vargas conducted an unannounced annual inspection for a large family childcare at the above home on 08/27/2026 at 9:20 AM. LPA met with Licensee Maria Vasquez, who guided LPA on a tour of the home. There were 3 child present with Licensee and two Assistants when LPA arrived. During the inspection, one more child arrived, licensee had 16 children enrolled and a total of 4 children present.
The facility operates Monday to Sunday 5:00am to 4:00am each day. Certain off-limit areas include: backyard, master bedroom, and laundry room. The facility is licensed as a large Family Child Care Home (FCCH) with a maximum capacity of fourteen children and is operating within the licensed capacity of the license.
During the inspection, LPA observed Licensee to be responsive and aware of where the children were at all times. A working cell phone is available, and the current phone number on file is correct. A fully charged fire extinguisher (3A:10BC) was observed along with a functioning smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, both of which were tested by the Licensee. LPA informed provider that the approved fire extinguisher should be 2A:10BC along Hazardous items, including toxins, are stored in the laundry room. No weapons are present, and the Licensee, Maria Vasquez, understands that all firearms, weapons, and ammunition must be locked separately and made inaccessible as per Title 22 Regulations.
The facility provides clean, safe, and age-appropriate toys for children. A current roster is on file, and required postings, including the Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan, and Notification of Parent’s Rights, are displayed. Fire and disaster drill documentation is not maintained.
