An Informal Conference was held at the Riverside Child Care Regional Office on this date, March 14, 2023, at 1:00PM. Present during conference were Licensee, Jami West and Director Marie Lacoste, Licensing Program Manager (LPM), Gilbert Sena and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Giselle Carbullido.

The conference was called to discuss the facility's most recent issues of Title 22 Regulations pertaining to:

1) CCR 101229(a)(1)- Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision

2) CCR 101238(a)- Buildings and Grounds

On 02/02/2023 the facility was cited two type A citations due to a child wandering away from the facility onto a nearby street corridor by accessing an opening in the fence.

During the conference, LPM Sena reminded the Director and Licensee of the importance for regulatory compliance in licensed facilities to protect the Health and Safety of children in care. Facility representatives were informed the Community Care Licensing Agency takes these violations seriously, and how the violations can lead to further administrative actions by the Department.

During this meeting, it was disclosed that the following measures have been taken by the Licensee:

1. Fence opening barricaded and area off limits until repairs completed. 2. Work request submitted day of incident and repairs completed within 48 hours. 3. Completion and submission of unusual incident report to CDSS per CCR regulations. 4. Parent notification to parents within 24 hours.

5. Added additional walk through during the day. Facility using App for notifications regarding perimeter checks and any facility needs observed.

6. Supervision: Census checks with all staff.

LPM Sena and LPA Carbullido also discussed and encouraged the following safety strategies:

A) Securing all perimeters by walking around facility premises to identify any safety concerns or hazards upon opening facility.

B) Conducting additional perimeter checks after inclement weather and prior to resumption of outdoor

activities.

C) Conducting additional name/census count indoors and outdoors throughout the day.

D) All parent/guardians will need to be notified of today’s visit with the LIC9224
