25 | On August 9 2023, at 01:25 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Courtnee Peebles arrived at the facility to conduct an annual inspection as part of a compliance review. LPA toured the facility, inside and out, records were reviewed, and the following was observed and/or discussed:
· Normal days and hours of operation are: Monday through Friday 06:00 AM to 05:30 PM
· Off-limit areas include: Kitchen, Living room, Garage, downstairs closets, and entire second floor
· The facility is not operating within the licensed capacity and appropriate ratios. Upon arrival LPA Peebles observed 11 children laying down during quiet/nap time with only the licensee present. LPA inquired about the ages of the older looking children while the oldest is seven years of age. While LPA was present Licensee called parents of C1, C2,C3 to come and pick their children up. LPA observed all three children’s departure from the facility. Due to the Licensee being over capacity this poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care. A citation will be issued.
· Appropriate supervision provided during this inspection
· A working telephone is present and the current number is on file
· Appropriate fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector present and were tested by the Licensee during this inspection.
· All hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children in an off limits area
· Weapons are present/stored according to Title 22. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations Licensee Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 regulations. LPA verified the identified items to be key locked separately on 08/09/2023.
