On 12/07/2023 at 8:47AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Susan Brewer arrived at the facility to conduct an annual inspection. LPA was greeted by Licensee Laura Crampton and granted entry to tour the facility inside and out. LPA reviewed records and observed and/or discussed the following:
Present were the licensee, 1 staff and 1 adult resident. During the inspection the licensee submitted an updated 279 Application form for updated days and hours; the LIC279B, the LIC610A Emergency Disaster Plan and updated the LIC999 Facility Sketches for the Home and Yard off-limit areas.

Normal days and hours of operation are Monday- Friday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
OFF-LIMIT AREAS INCLUDE: The Garage, Kitchen, Master Bedroom 1/Bath 1; Bedroom 2, Dining Room, Entire Backyard.

The inspection consisted of reviews of the following domain: Physical Plant, Care and Supervision, Records, Facility Administration, Staffing Ratio and Capacity, Personal Rights. The inspection found the facility to be in compliance in these domains, except as noted on the LIC809D pages.
· The facility is operating within the licensed capacity and appropriate ratios. LPA took a census of 11 children in care.
· The Licensee is present in the home and has ensured that children in care are supervised.
· When temporarily absent from the home, the Licensee shall arrange for a substitute adult to care for and supervise children.
· A working telephone is present.
· Appropriate fire extinguisher (2A:10BC) in the green and inspection tag is 01/03/2023, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are present and were tested by the Licensee during this inspection 12/07/2023.
· All hazardous items are inaccessible, this includes detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to children.

· Storage of poisons is inaccessible to children and locked.
· The wood burning stove and electric fireplace are properly barricaded on 12/07/2023.
· No guns or weapons present as stated by the Licensee Laura Crampton. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 regulations.
· No stairs observed, this is a 1 story home.
· Home is clean and orderly, with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
· Clean, Safe and age-appropriate toys and equipment are present for both indoor and outdoor activities. However at 9:26 AM, LPA S.Brewer inspected Bedroom 3 designated as a napping room and observed 5 play yards with the following: 1 play yard was filled to the top with miscellaneous items, 4 play yards had loose mattress sheets, blankets, pillows and plush stuffed toys. At 9:30 AM the LPA observed 1 bassinet with 2 blankets and padding around the perimeter of the equipment. The licensee Laura Crampton stated the bassinet is for their own infant grandchild which was provided by the parent and not used. The licensee removed the bassinet in the presence of the LPA and removed the blankets, pillows and stuffed toys in the presence of the LPA. At 9:45 AM LPA S.Brewer observed a 6th play yard located in the designated indoor living room/daycare area to have blankets folded and piled to the top, pillows and plush toys. The licensee stated the blankets are sent home weekly for wash and the play yard is used for daycare children under 2 years of age when necessary.
· Outdoor play areas are fenced and/ or appropriate supervision is present.
· Verification of control of property on file by rental agreement.
· Property owner/landlord notification and consent on file by rental agreement.
· Pediatric CPR and First Aid Card expires on 02/2025.
· Health, Safety & Nutrition Certificate - completed on 12/11/2017, No Lead component.
· Mandated reporter General: 03/06/2018; AB 1207 Child Care Expired 11/08/2023.
· Fire clearance: 12/27/2017
· Documentation of fire & earthquake drills to be conducted every six months: Last Fire drill on 12/04/2023 at 10:00 AM, 12 children and 1 staff,
· There are no bodies of water, at this time. Licensee understands all bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools & spas, in-ground pools & spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per Title 22 regulations. The Department must be notified before and after installation of the above types of bodies of water. In addition, all wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position.

Licensee Laura Crampton, was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. The Licensee Laura Crampton, can submit transfer forms to associate new individuals or to disassociate someone from your facility at: Associations_Disassociations862@dss.ca.gov for Riverside Regional Office.

LPA Susan Brewer, discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee Laura Crampton and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource.

LPA Susan Brewer, also informed licensee Laura Crampton of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
