25 | On 10/31/2024, at approximately 10:22 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jesse Gardner arrived at the facility to conduct a Case Management - Licensee Initiated inspection due to the licensee applying to increase capacity to a large family childcare home. Present during this inspection were: Licensee Serene Ford, and 4 day care children. The home is two-story home with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, with attached garage. Fire Clearance was approved by Moreno Valley Fire Department on 10/9/2024.
· Normal days and hours of operation are: 7 days a week from 5:00 AM to 4:00 AM
· Off-limit areas include: second floor, garage, living room, kitchen and back hallway
· The facility is licensed to have no more than 8 children as a small FCCH and is operating within the licensed capacity and appropriate ratios.
· Appropriate supervision provided during this inspection
· A working telephone is present, and the current phone number is on file
· A fully charged fire extinguisher (2A:10BC) was observed.
· Fireplace is properly screened to prevent access by children
· All hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children
· Toxins are locked in hall cabinet
· Weapons are not present. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations
· Stairs were barricaded
· Clean, safe and age appropriate toys were observed.
