25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelli Waters conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 03/07/25 at 9:09am. LPA met with Facility Representative, Jenniffer Aynesworth, and was provided a tour of the preschool classrooms 41 & 46, as well as the playground area and school kitchen. This facility operates on the campus of Alamos Elementary School and is part of the Temecula Valley Unified School District.
During the inspection, several key facility items were observed and updated where necessary. These included the facility's license, the Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC610) and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist (LIC9148), the Parent’s Rights Poster (PUB393), Personal Rights (LIC613A), the Child Car Seat Law notice, and the menu. LPA advised the program to have these items posted in an area easily accessible by the parents on a daily basis.
The facility was found to be operating within the limits stated on its license, and staff-to-child ratios were observed to be 27 children with 4 staff. Classrooms were adequately equipped with age- and size-appropriate furniture and materials, ensuring a safe and hazard-free environment. The facility representative confirmed that no weapons were present on the premises.
There were no accessible bodies of water on-site. The facility representative is aware that any wading pools or similar products must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position. Drinking water was available both indoors and outdoors with portable coolers and personal water bottles. LPA verified that lead testing was completed on 9/24, and the next testing is due by 9/29 (five years from the initial test date).
No Medications were present during the inspection. LPA observed all disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other hazardous materials were stored in locations inaccessible to children, while poisons and toxins were securely locked away. The facility’s floors were observed to be safe and clean, and bathroom facilities were sanitary and in proper working condition. The playgrounds were enclosed by a secure fence surrounding the perimeter of the center. Outdoor activity areas contained age- and size-appropriate equipment in good condition. |
