25 | On the above noted date and time, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Diana Brasel conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for an increase in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with
Facility Representative. Applicant is requesting to be licensed for 17 preschool children age 3-5 in classroom 601. Hours of operation will be Monday - Friday 8;00 am - 4:00 pm. There were no children or staff present during today’s inspection. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Jay Rallion that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.
LPA continued to tour the facility and measured the indoor and outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity space measured 1049.64, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 17 Children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via drinking fountains. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property.
Fire clearance was granted on 05/20/2024.
LPA observed a total of 4 sinks and 3 toilets available for children’s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 17 children. An approved waiver will be needed to share two of the toilets located outside of the classroom with the elementary school children.
The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area. Fencing wrought iron is at least four feet high. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity space is 9399.19, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. |
