32 | · All hazardous items ARE NOT inaccessible, this includes detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to children. During the inspection the LPA observed kitchen knives, alcohol, and vitamin supplements unlocked in a upper kitchen cabinet, alcohol in lower kitchen refrigerator and laundry supplies accessible in the laundry room. No children were present in the kitchen or laundry room at the time of the inspection. The kitchen, main living room leading to the laundry room and daycare room are separated by a sliding patio window door. The licensee will keep the kitchen and living room areas temporarily off limits until the items are made inaccessible for older children.
· Storage of poisons ARE NOT inaccessible to children and ARE NOT locked as indicated above.
· Stairs are barricaded on today’s date.
· The fireplace is properly screened.
· No guns or weapons present as stated by the Licensee. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 regulations.
· Home is clean and orderly, with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
· Clean, Safe and age-appropriate toys and equipment are present for both indoor and outdoor activities.
· Outdoor play areas are fenced and/ or appropriate supervision is present.
· Verification of control of property on file by rental agreement.
· Property owner/landlord notification and consent on file by:
· Pediatric CPR and First Aid training on 10/14/2023; Card expires on 10/2025.
· Health/Safety/Nutrition Certificate - completed on 12/14/2019; Lead 07/09/2020
· Mandated reporter General: 08/2024; AB 1207 Child Care Expires: 08/2026
· Fire clearance: On file
· Documentation of fire & earthquake drills to be conducted every six months: Last drill on 12/02/2024 at 10:10 AM
· There are no bodies of water, 01/23/2025. Licensee Norma Ramirez, understands all bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools & spas, in-ground pools & spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per Title 22 regulations. The Department must be notified before and after installation of the above types of bodies of water. In addition, all wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position. As stated above, the licensee has removed all water and plastic lining from what used to be a wading pool. The area remains fenced and separated from the outdoor play area. The area is off limits until the landscaping is completed to fill the cavity of dirt. |
