32 | LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee [facility representative] of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

A civil penalty has been assessed during this inspection, payment is due when billed and the check(s) or money orders shall be made payable to the “California Department of Social Services”. You will receive an invoice in the mail. Do not send money until you receive your invoice. Do not send cash.
See LIC809-D for cited deficiencies. An immediate civil penalty in the amount of $500 was issued for an above the ground pool that accessible to children in care. LPA informed the license, that this report dated 11/07/23 documents (1) Type A citation(s) which shall be posted for 30 consecutive days as there was an immediate risk to the Health, Safety, or Personal Rights of children in care. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224) was provided to facility during this inspection. The Lic 9224/Type A citation must be provided to parents/guardian of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224), or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for the verification.
An exit interview was conducted with Licensee, Cecilia Urrea and appeals rights were discussed. LPA Zeron provided Licensee a copy of this report, Civil Penalty, appeal rights, and Notice of Site Visit. LPA observed the Notice of Site Visit form was posted by Licensee. THIS REPORT MUST BE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC UPON REQUEST FOR THREE YEARS.
