25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Rachel Zeron and Office Technician(OT) Eric Ramos, arrived at the facility to conduct a POC visit and amend the original annual report. An Annual visit was conducted on 06/10/24, an above the ground pool was observed in the backyard that was 48 inches in height and was not fenced, the following was cited :
102417(g)(5)(B): The home shall be free from defects or conditions which might endanger a child. Safety precautions shall include but not limited to: (5) All licensees shall ensure the inaccessibility of pools (in-ground and above-ground), fixed-in-place wading pools, hot tubs, spas, fish ponds and similar bodies of water through a pool cover or by surrounding the pool with a fence. (B) Where an above-ground pool structure is used as the fence or where the fence is mounted on top of the pool structure, the pool shall be made inaccessible when not in use by removing or making the ladder inaccessible or erecting a barricade to prevent access to decking. If a barricade is used, the barricade shall meet the requirements of Section 102417(g)(5)(A).
Today, LPA and OT observed the pool is properly fenced, the fence was measured at: 5 feet
There is a trampoline on the premises and the licensee states that it will be used by children in care. The trampoline and its surrounding cover appear to be in good repair with no tears or exposed springs. The manufacturer of the trampoline is Little Tikes and the licensee has the manufacturer’s instructions and guidelines. The licensee agrees to only use the trampoline in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines and will provide adequate supervision to all children in care.
NO DEFICIENCIES WERE CITED DURING THIS VISIT.
