25 | On 04/11/2024 at 11:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Diana Brasel conducted an announced Pre-Licensing inspection for a Change of Ownership. Upon arrival, LPA met with Rosie Perez Director/Facility Representative. Applicant is requesting to be licensed for 66 pre-schoolers ages 2 - 5 years of age in classrooms #1, #2, #4, #5, and #6 and 6 toddlers ages 18 months - 36 months in classroom #3. Hours of operation will be Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 6:00 pm.
Fire clearance was granted on 12/12/2023.
All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed
Rosie Perez that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities. When medications are on site, Rosie Perez stated, it will stored in the main office. Per Rosie Perez medication that needs refrigeration is not accepted, if a child needs this type of medication the parent will be required to administer. A fully equipped first aid kit is located in the hallway. There is an operational carbon monoxide detector on site located in the hallway. All required licensing documents were observed posted in the lobby. Children will be signed in and out in the lobby.
LPA continued to tour the facility and measured all indoor and outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity space measured 2728.80, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 72 Children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, cribs/napping cots/mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via filtered bottle water, children bring their own water bottle filled. The children's water bottles are used for outdoor play. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. |
