25 | On October 4, 2024, at 10:20 AM, Licensing Program Analyst’s (LPAs) Brian Morris and Anastasia Flores arrived for the purpose of conducting an inspection as part of a compliance review. Upon arrival, LPAs knocked on the front door and was allowed entry into the facility by Child care assistant Laura Mora. At 10:25 AM LPAs toured the facility, inside and out, and the following was observed and/or discussed:
· Normal days and hours of operation are: Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
· Off-limit areas include: All bedrooms, Garage, closet areas, right side of back yard, left side of backyard.
· The facility is licensed to have no more than 14 children as a Large FCCH and is operating within the licensed capacity and appropriate ratios. There were nine children to two staff.
· A working telephone is present, and the current phone number is on file.
· A fully charged fire extinguisher (2A:10BC) was observed. A smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector were present and tested by the Licensee during this inspection.
· Fireplace has protective screen to prevent in home fires or issues.
· All hazardous items were not stored inaccessible to children.
· Toxins were found not locked and accessible to children in care in the kitchen sink area.
· Weapons are present according to Title 22. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations
· Clean, safe, and age-appropriate toys are provided.
