25 | On 12/1/22 at 10:09 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeanette Sanchez arrived at the facility to conduct a pre-licensing inspection of a Large Family Child Care Home. Fire clearance received on: 11/7/22. Present during this inspection were: applicant. The home is single story with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, with attached garage. At 10:43 AM, LPA toured the facility, inside and out with applicant and the following was observed and/or discussed:
· Per Applicant, off-limit areas include: Bedroom 1, Garage, Right side yard. Off-limit areas have a child safety knob on room 1, key lock on garage door, fence on side yard, making them inaccessible to children.
· Normal hours of operation will be: Mon-Sat, 6am to 6pm
· Smoke detectors and Carbon Monoxide detectors were tested by the applicant during this inspection and were in working order.
· There is central heating and air conditioning.
· The fire extinguisher is a 2A10BC, fully charged and met standards established by the State Fire Marshal.
· All hazardous items were observed to be inaccessible. Storage of poisons and toxins are inaccessible to children and locked under kitchen sink. Sharp items including kitchen knives, are inaccessible and stored in locked kitchen drawer. Medicines are locked and stored in kitchen cupboard, left of sink.
· First Aid Kit is located in the hallway closet and contains all required items.
· No guns or weapons are stored in the facility as of this date. Applicant understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations.
· The fireplace is properly screened
· Clean, safe and age appropriate toys were observed.
· LPA observed a working telephone located in living room and kitchen.
· There were no toxic plants inside or outside the facility observed at this time
· The outside activity area consists of: large and small play structures. |
