25 | On 1/20/23 at 09:49am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeanette Sanchez arrived at the facility to conduct a pre-licensing inspection. The licensee is currently licensed at 79640 B Avenue 42, Bermuda Dunes, CA 92203 and has applied to relocate the childcare facility to this address. Present during this inspection was the licensee. The home is single story with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, with attached garage. At 10:30am, LPA toured the facility, inside and out with licensee and the following was observed and/or discussed:
· Per licensee, off-limit areas include: Bedroom 1-2, Bathrooms 1-2, Laundry room, Closet across from laundry room, Garage
· Normal hours of operation will be: Mon-Fri, 6am-6pm
· Smoke detectors and Carbon Monoxide detectors were tested by licensee during this inspection and were in working order.
· The fire extinguisher met standards established by the State Fire Marshal.
· All hazardous items were observed to be inaccessible. Storage of poisons and toxins are inaccessible to children and locked in the closet across from the laundry room. Sharp items including kitchen knives, are inaccessible and stored in latched drawer in kitchen. Medicines are locked and stored in primary bedroom closet.
· Guns or weapons are stored in the facility as stated by licensee as of this date. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations.
· The fireplace is properly screened
· Clean, safe and age appropriate toys were observed |
