25 | On 02/05/2026 qat 9:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sumayya Habeebulla conducted an unannounced annual visit along with a capacity increase for a small family childcare home. LPA met with Licensee Tiffaney Thomas, who provided a tour of the home. At the time of the visit, 5 children were present. The applicant stated that the hours of operation will be Monday through Friday 6:30 AM to 6 PM, and that care will be provided for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years. During the visit the facility had 9 children enrolled and 5 children present.
Certain areas are off-limits, including the entire second floor, kitchen, family room, downstairs bedroom, and garage. The facility is licensed as a small Family Child Care Home (FCCH) with a maximum capacity of eight children and is operating within the licensed capacity of the license.
A fire clearance was granted on 01/22/2026. The clearance specifies that only the first floor may be used for childcare, excluding the garage and the entire upstairs.
A working cell phone is available, and the current phone number on file is correct. A fully charged fire extinguisher (2A:10BC) was observed, along with a functioning smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, both of which were tested by the Licensee. The fireplace is properly screened to prevent access by children, and all hazardous items, including toxins, are stored securely and are inaccessible to children. No weapons are present, and the Licensee, Tiffaney Thomas, understands that all firearms, weapons, and ammunition must be locked separately and made inaccessible as per Title 22 Regulations. Stairs are barricaded with a baby gate when children are in care.
