25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Angelica Vargas conducted an unannounced annual inspection for a large family childcare at the above home on 08/21/2026 at 9:00 AM. LPA met with Licensee Veronica Gonzalez De Hernandez, who guided LPA on a tour of the home. There were 6 children present with Licensee and Assistant when LPA arrived. One more child arrived during the inspection. During the inspection the facility had 16 children enrolled and a total of 7 children present.
The facility operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM each day. Certain areas are off-limits, including bedrooms1, bedroom 2, room 4 , garage and both side yards. The facility is licensed as a large Family Child Care Home (FCCH) with a maximum capacity of fourteen children and is operating within the licensed capacity of the license.
During the inspection, LPA observed a working cell phone is available, and the current phone number on file is correct. A fully charged fire extinguisher (3A:10BC) was observed, along with a functioning carbon monoxide detector and smoke detector. Both detectors were tested by the Licensee. All hazardous items, including toxins, are stored securely and are inaccessible to children in a closet in the hallway that has a key-locked door. There are weapons present in the home. Weapons and Ammunition are stored according to Title 22 Regulations. Licensee, Veronica Gonzalez De Hernandez, understands that all firearms, weapons, and ammunition must be locked separately and made inaccessible as per Title 22 Regulations.
The facility provides clean and age-appropriate toys for children. A current roster is on file, and required postings, including the Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan, and Notification of Parent’s Rights, are displayed. Fire and disaster drill documentation is maintained with the last drill documented on June 10, 2026.
