· Clean, safe and age-appropriate toys were observed.
· LPA observed a working cell phone.
· There were no toxic plants inside or outside the facility observed at this time.
· The outside activity area where children will play will be on the side yard. The side yard has access to the front yard. Applicant has a fence that encloses the front yard; informed applicant to ensure the fence is always locked so children do not have access to the street. Applicant understood. Applicant plans to either put a secondary fence so the side yard does not have direct access to the front yard or to make a part of the back yard part of her daycare area. Applicant will notify Licensing of any changes. Applicant has trampoline in backyard; backyard is off-limits and will not be used.
· There are no bodies of water observed on this date. Applicant understands all bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools and spas, in-ground pools and spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per title 22 regulations. The Department must be notified before and after installation of the bodies of water described. In addition, all wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position when not in use.
· Applicant will not be transporting children. Applicant stated she may provide transportation in the future; informed licensee to let licensing know when she will begin transporting children.
· Facility Sketch and Emergency Disaster Plan are posted.
· Pediatric CPR and First Aid Card expires 01/20/2026.
· Mandated Reporter certificate expires 11/2026.
· Preventive Health and Safety training, including nutrition and lead components were completed on 01/31/2024.
Applicant Maira Solis was reminded all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Applicant’s husband is the owner of the home, applicant is not on the deed. The LPA observed the Property Owner/Landlord Notification form (LIC9151) that the applicant confirms was provided to the property owner/landlord. The applicant obtained a signed Property Owner/Landlord Consent form (LIC9149).
