LPA observed a total of 4 sinks, 4 toilets, 3 changing tables available for infant children, 15 sinks, 8 toilets for pre-school, and 5 sinks, 4 toilets for school-age. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity for all components. There is a separate staff restroom equipped with a toilet and a sink. The isolation area for children who are ill will be the administrative office.
Facility will provide breakfast, lunch, and pm snack using the Renu Hope Foundation food program. The kitchen area currently includes 6 burner stove, sink, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, convection oven, and dishwasher. The kitchen area and food storage areas were observed free of rodents and/or vermin. Food was observed to be properly stored separate from cleaning materials. Hazardous items in kitchen are inaccessible to children via a locked door. The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area. Fencing wrought iron and brick wall is at least four feet high. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity space for infant 1406.43, preschool 9927.01, and school-age 11377.03, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. A waiver will be needed for the infant component for a time scheduled shared playground due to outdoor square footage, which currently measured for 18 children the facility is requesting 36 children. Shade is provided via canopies, permanent canopy structures, and trees on all playgrounds. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. There are age appropriate structures on all playgrounds that are all properly anchored. There is adequate cushioning in fall zones of climber provided by infant, artificial turf, preschool and school-age is wood chips. Drinking water is available via water fountains. LPA observed all hazardous items on the playground to be inaccessible to children. Facility representative Jennifer Morris was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing.
For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1- CCP). |
