25 | On February 03, 2026, at 11:25 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gabriela Hernandez conducted an unannounced case management visit to evaluate a capacity increase request from a small to a large family child care home. LPA met with Licensee Maria Osegueda Macias who provided a tour of the home. At the time of the visit, 5 children were present with Licensee. Licensee stated the days and hours of operation will be Monday thru Friday from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and that care will be provided for children aged 3 months to 13 years of age. Off-limit areas include: All 4 bedrooms, Garage, Master Bathroom, and Laundry Room.
A fire clearance was granted on 01/29/2026 by Riverside County Fire Department, approving the facility as a large family child care home.
During visit, a census was taken and no immediate concerns were present. The carbon monoxide and smoke detectors were tested and found to be in working order. All hazardous items and toxins are stored inaccessible to children in care. Per Licensee, there are no firearms or weapons in the home. LPA reviewed capacity requirements with Licensee. In the event that an assistant is absent, licensee was reminded that ratios must return to a small family child care capacity. The licensee also confirmed their understanding that all adults aged 18 and older who assist, live, or volunteer in the home must undergo a fingerprint clearance before being present in the child care setting. Additionally, the licensee acknowledged the requirement to be present for at least 80% of the time when children are in care.
The application for a Large Family Child Care Home will be submitted for approval with a maximum capacity of 12 children, or 14 with parent notification.
An exit interview was conducted, and the Licensee Maria Osegueda Macias received a copy of this report, Appeal Rights, and a Notice of Site Visit, which must be posted in a prominent location for 30 consecutive days.
