25 | On 01/08/2025, at 12:32PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jesse Gardner arrived unannounced to Resendiz Family Chid Care (FCC) to conduct a licensee initiated inspection to increase the capacity of children in care. LPA met with Licensee Resendiz who granted entry and a tour of the facility.
On 12/15/2025, a fire clearance was granted by the Riverside County Fire Department, approving an increase in capacity from (8) to (14).
During the visit, a census of two daycare children was taken. One child was observed to be napping, and another was engaged with age appropriate activities. Carbon monoxide and smoke detector were tested and are in working order. Licensee stated she understands when a capacity of eight (8) is exceeded or when four (4) infants and additional children are present, an assistant is required. In the event that an assistant is absent, licensee was reminded that ratios must return to a small family child care capacity of eight (8) children. Licensee Resendiz stated weapons are not present in the home at this time. LPA there are not any pools, spas, or other bodies of water present at the FCCH property at this time.
Licensee stated they understand that fingerprints need to be cleared prior to employment or presence in the childcare for any adult, eighteen years or older, who assists, lives or volunteers in the home. Licensee stated they understand that licensee needs to be present in the day-care, when children are present for 80% per day.
Resendiz FCC has been officially approved as a Large family childcare. License will be approved for a maximum capacity of 14 children, along with parent(s) notification.
No immediate concerns were present or deficiencies cited on today's date. An exit interview was provided, along with a copy of this report and appeal rights to Licensee Resendiz. A Notice of Site visit was provided and must remain posted in a prominent space for 30 consecutive days.
