32 | • There are bodies of water observed on this date. LPA observed that there is a 5 inch gap between the mesh and the wall of the house. On the opposite side, the Mesh fence did not extend to the back wall which allowed access to the pool through a crawl space in the bushes. The mesh fence did not have a self latching gate that swung away from the pool. The mesh fencing did not extend along the side of the house allowing access to the pool through the bedrooms windows; Applicant will consult with fire department regarding fire codes and safety placement. LPA observed that there was a 12 foot pool with an attached body hook. LPA also observed a Life ring with a minimum exterior diameter of 17 inches and was observed to be approved by the United States Coast Guard. LPA observed that the pool alarm was functional and in compliance with ASTM International Standard F2208. Applicant understands all bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools and spas, in-ground pools and spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per title 22 regulations. The Department must be notified before and after installation of the bodies of water described. In addition, all wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position when not in use.
• Applicant will be transporting children. Applicant will be using personal car to pick-up and drop-off children. The vehicle is in safe operating condition.
• Verification of control of property is maintained by applicant
• Facility Sketch and Emergency Disaster Plan are posted near front door entrance.
• Pediatric CPR and First Aid Card expires 6/8/26
• Mandated Reporter certificate expires 5/26/26
• Preventive Health and Safety training, including nutrition and lead components were completed on 6/20/24.
Applicant was reminded all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
The applicant provided proof of control of property. The applicant has not obtained a signed Property Owner/Landlord Consent form (LIC 9149). Without this consent, the applicant understands that, once licensed, they can operate with a maximum capacity of 6 children. If the property owner/landlord consent is obtained in the future, the applicant is advised that a new Application for a Family Child Care Home License (LIC 279) must be submitted with a change of capacity fee of $25, to increase the capacity and provide care to 8 children. |
