25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Angelica Vargas conducted an unannounced annual inspection and a capacity increase visit for a small family childcare at the above home on 07/27/2026 at 11:17 AM. LPA met with Licensee Adela Sanchez Torres, who guided LPA on a tour of the home. There was 0 children present with Licensee when LPA arrived. During the visit, one child arrived, the facility had 7 children enrolled and 1 children present.
A fire clearance was granted on 07/21/2026 by Indio Fire Services.
The facility operates Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM and from 10:00PM to 4:00AM each day. Certain areas are off-limits, including Bedroom #1, Bedroom #2, Bedroom #4, Bathroom #2, Kitchen, the backyard area where the pool is fenced and the Garage. The facility is licensed as a small Family Child Care Home (FCCH) with a maximum capacity of six children and is operating within the licensed capacity of the license.
During the inspection, LPA observed Licensee to be responsive and aware of where the children were at all times. A working cell phone is available, and the current phone number on file is correct. A fully charged fire extinguisher (3A:10BC) was observed, along with a functioning smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, both of which were tested by the Licensee. All hazardous items, including toxins, are stored securely and are inaccessible to children. No weapons are present, and the Licensee, Adela Sanchez Torres, understands that all firearms, weapons, and ammunition must be locked separately and made inaccessible as per Title 22 Regulations.
The facility provides clean and age-appropriate toys for children. A current roster is on file, and required postings, including the Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan, and Notification of Parent’s Rights, are displayed. Fire and disaster drill documentation was not maintained with the last drill documented on December 30, 2025.
