25 | On May 06, 2026, at 11:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Angelica Vargas conducted an unannounced visit to complete annual inspection and to evaluate a capacity increase request from a small to a large family child care home. LPA met with Licensee Edith Munoz who provided a tour of the home. At the time of arrival, 5 children were present with Licensee. Licensee confirmed they have 14 children enrolled. Licensee stated the days and hours of operation will be Monday thru Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and that care will be provided for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years of age.
Certain areas are off-limits, including the kitchen, Room #1 and Dinning room. . The facility is licensed as a small Family Child Care Home (FCCH) with a maximum capacity of eight children and is operating within the licensed capacity of the license. A fire clearance was granted on 04/29/2026 by Riverside County Fire Department, approving the facility as a large family child care home.
During the inspection, LPA observed Licensee to be responsive and aware of where the children were at all times. A working cell phone is available, and the current phone number on file is correct. A fully charged fire extinguisher (2A:10BC) was observed, along with a functioning smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, both of which were tested by the Licensee. All hazardous items, including toxins, are stored securely and are inaccessible to children on an upper cabinet on the wall where the washer and dryer are located, in front of the restroom. No weapons are present, and the Licensee, Edith Munoz, understands that all firearms, weapons, and ammunition must be locked separately and made inaccessible as per Title 22 Regulations.
The facility provides clean, safe, and age-appropriate toys for children. A current roster is on file, and required postings, including the Facility Sketch, Emergency Disaster Plan, and Notification of Parent’s Rights, are displayed. Fire and disaster drill documentation is maintained, with the last drill conducted on March 10, 2026.
