32 | LPA observed age-appropriate toys and learning materials. Smoke/carbon monoxide detector was observed, tested by Licensee, and found to be operable. The required (2A-10BC) fire extinguisher was observed in in the kitchen. LPA reminded Licensee that the fire extinguisher must be serviced annually or as often as necessary. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors should be checked, batteries should be replaced.
Licensee has completed the required preventative health and safety course which includes nutrition and prevention of lead exposure on 04/24/2025. Licensee’s Pediatric First Aid and CPR expires 04/21/2027. Mandated Reporter Training expires 01/28/2027. Licensee has required proof of immunizations on file..
Per Licensee, there are firearms in the facility. LPA verified firearms are stored according to Title 22 regulations. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations.
According to the Licensee, the children will not be using the backyard for outdoor play at this time. Licensee plans to install grass and play equipment in the backyard. Once the backyard is ready for use, Licensee will contact licensing to provide an update and send updated facility sketch.
There are not any pools, spas, or other bodies of water. Licensee understands that all bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools, spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per Title 22 Regulations. The Department must be notified before and after installation of the above types of bodies of water. In addition, all wading pools or similar products must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position.
