32 | Licensee have completed the required preventative health and safety course which includes nutrition and prevention of lead exposure on 09/30/2023. Licensee Pediatric First Aid and CPR expires 08/24/2025. Mandated Reporter Training expires 08/05/2025. Licensee has required proof of immunizations on file.
Per Licensee Denise Barrera-Felix, there are not any weapons or firearms in the facility. Applicant understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations.
According to the Licensee, the children will not be using the backyard for outdoor play at this time. Licensee is installing cement and will install grass as well. Once the backyard is ready for use, Licensee will contact licensing to provide an update and send updated facility sketch.
There are not any pools, spas, or other bodies of water. Licensee understands that all bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools, spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per Title 22 Regulations. The Department must be notified before and after installation of the above types of bodies of water. In addition, all wading pools or similar products must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position.
LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311D, Forms/Records To Keep In Your Family Child Care Homes, children’s forms/records, facility forms/records, and information to be posted.
The Licensee provided proof of control of property.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA informed Licensee of their reporting requirements. Any unusual incidents or injuries must be reported to the Department within 24 hours via telephone and within seven (7) days in writing.
