32 | Applicants have completed the required health and safety training, the Pediatric First Aid and CPR. Applicants have proof of immunization against pertussis and measles, and declination letters for influenza on file. Proof of Mandated Reporter Training was also provided.
Applicants states the children will bring lunch from home. LPA observed age-appropriate toys and learning materials. The required (2A10BC) fire extinguisher was observed in the downstairs closet and was purchased in February 2024. Per Applicant, there are no weapons or firearms in the facility.
Per Applicants, the children will use the backyard for outdoor play. The outdoor play area was observed to be fenced. LPA observed that the outdoor yard has toys and other materials for children to play with. LPA observed wiring with rusty nails on the AC unit that needs to be removed prior to children usage. LPA also observed stones sitting on a ledge that need to be moved to the ground. There are not any pools or spas, or other bodies of water.
The isolation area for a sick child waiting to be picked up will be in the living room area, away from other children. LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311D, Forms/Records To Keep In Your Family Child Care Homes, children’s forms/records, facility forms/records, and information to be posted.
The applicants provided proof of rental agreement.
Because the applicant rents the home, proof of landlord notification is required. The Property Owner/Landlord Notification form (LIC9151) that was provided to the property owner/landlord has not yet been returned. The applicant has not yet obtained a signed Property Owner/Landlord Consent form (LIC9149). The applicants state that they will obtain and submit these forms before the facility is licensed.
Applicants Maira Estrada, Alexis Aguirre, and Tiffany Aguirre were reminded that all adults 18 and over, living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
