25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelli Waters conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection for a family childcare at the above home on 07/15/26 at the time listed above. LPA met with Applicant Atlantis Cabaong, who guided LPA on a tour of the home. Present when LPA arrived was applicant, adult resident, and four minor residents. Applicant is applying for a large child care license. Per Applicant, hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Applicant states they will provide care for children 18 months to 5 years of age.
This is a two-story home consisting of 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a gathering room, kitchen, dining room, café area, office, laundry room, front yard and backyard. The home was inspected for safety, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children.
Areas used by children include: The dining room, bathroom #4, bedroom #5 (located at the entrance of the home), and backyard. Areas off limits include: entire second floor, bedroom #6, kitchen, gathering room, café area,garage, and office. Off limit areas are made inaccessible by door locks and baby gates. Knives and other sharp utensils are stored in the off-limits kitchen upper cabinet and cleaning products are made inaccessible by a baby lock under the kitchen sink.
The home is clean, neat, and orderly, there are outlet covers throughout the home. Smoke/carbon monoxide detector was observed, tested by applicant, and found to be operable. Stairs are barricaded with a baby gate in the entry area. Applicant states they will provide food for the children. The isolation area for a sick child waiting to be picked up will be in bedroom #5, away from other children. |
