25 | On 07/09/2026 at 10:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gabriela Hernandez conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection for a large family childcare at the above home. Riverside County Fire Department granted fire clearance on 07/02/2026 for a large family child care. LPA met with Applicant Adilene Juarez, who guided LPA on a tour of the home. Applicant is applying for a large childcare license. Per Applicant, hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Applicant states they will provide care for children 3 months to 5 years of age.
This is a single story home consisting of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, garage, laundry room, front yard and backyard. The home was inspected for safety, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. All poisons, detergents and cleaning compounds are locked in the garage. The garage is only accessible through the laundry room, which is key-locked. The knives are stored in an upper kitchen cabinet, the cabinet has a safety lock and is off-limit. Medicines are stored and key-locked in a bedroom; therefore inaccessible to children care. There is no fire place in the home.
Areas used by children include: Living room, Bedroom #3, Bathroom located by the entry of the home and backyard. Areas off limits include: Bedroom #1, Bedroom #2, Bathroom #2-(master bathroom), Kitchen, laundry room, garage, and left side of the yard. All bedrooms, master bathroom, and laundry room are key-locked making them inaccessible to children in care. Applicant installed safety gates in the kitchen making it inaccessible to children in care. Applicant installed gate to ensure the left side of the yard is inaccessible.
LPA observed age-appropriate toys and learning materials. The required (2A-10BC) fire extinguisher was observed mounted on the kitchen wall. LPA reminded applicant that the fire extinguisher must be serviced annually or as often as necessary. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors should be checked, batteries should be replaced. Smoke/carbon monoxide detector was observed, tested by applicant, and found to be operable. The home is clean, neat, and orderly, there are outlet covers throughout the home. |
