32 | It was alleged that the play yard is not fully enclosed with an opened fence. LPA observed a fully enclosed play yard with fences that open and close. Fences are not locked for fire safety. Interviews with staff, and LPA observations of children at recess, reveal that children are taught to not open the fences and to stay with their group. Additionally, recess is scheduled for small groups to ensure supervision on the play yard.
Based on interviews, observations, documentation, and other information gathered, there was not a preponderance of evidence to prove or negate the allegation, therefore the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED.
In the areas that were evaluated on 05/15/2024, no deficiencies were cited during today's inspection. An exit interview was conducted with Director Hansen Hensly and Appeal Rights were provided by LPA. A Notice of Site visit was posted by LPA and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. |
