25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Victoria Brown arrived unannounced to conduct a health and safety check on the residents residing in the facility on 2/8/23 at 2:05p. LPA met with Rose Reyes, Caregiver and stated the purpose of the visit.
Community Care Licensing held an Office meeting on 12/20/22 as a result of an Audit investigation. This Case Management visit is to ensure the health and safety of the residents.
During the visit, LPA observed required furniture, and lighting throughout the facility. The temperature inside the facility measured at 74*F which is within the required range of 68-85*F. The hot water temperature was measured 113.9*F which is within the required range of 105-120*F. LPA observed supplies of nonperishable foods for a minimum of one week and perishable foods for a minimum of two days maintained on the premises. The first aid kit included supplies such as sterile first aid dressings, bandages or roller bandages, adhesive tape, scissors, tweezers, thermometers, antiseptic solution and guide. LPA observed centrally stored medications area to be locked and inaccessible to residents. LPA observed the fire extinguisher(s), smoke and carbon monoxide detector(s) in the home. The facility has central heating and air. The facility is approved for a hospice waiver for 4 of which there is 1 resident receiving hospice care services at this time. LPA observed required postings during this visit.
