25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christina Valerio arrived unannounced to conduct an annual required inspection. LPA Valerio met with Administrator Monalyn Andrada, and explained the purpose of the visit.
LPA Valerio observed four (4) staff members and two (2) residents in care. The other residents were out on an outing. LPA Valerio and Administrator Monalyn toured the facility to ensure compliance with Title 22 regulations. LPA Valerio observed common areas to be clean and free from debris. Resident bedrooms appeared to be fully furnished, to have personalized decor, and to be free from pest. Resident bathrooms were fully stocked with hygiene items. Hot water was measured within regulatory range of 105-120 degrees F. The kitchen was free from debris. Sharps and chemicals were locked and inaccessible to residents in care. The exterior plant was observed. There is an area for outdoor seating and outdoor activities. Shed is being utilized for storage. No emergency exits were obstructed during the visit. Fire Drill was tested during today's visit.
Staff were observed assisting residents, cleaning the kitchen from breakfast, preparing lunch, and taking the residents on the outing. Residents were observed eating, talking on the phone, going on an outing, and engaging with staff.
LPA Valerio reviewed two (2) resident files. Resident files were observed to be complete with required documentation. Three (3) staff files were reviewed. Staff were observed to have up to date first aid certification. Technical Assistance was provided for RBT training due to a citation being issued on a separate visit. Please see Case Management visit dated 09/19/2024.
LPA Valerio requested the following documentation: LIC 500, LIC 308, LIC 610, Copy of Surety Bond, and Copy of Lease Agreement
Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) - Title 22, no deficiencies are being cited today. An exit interview was held, and a copy of the report was provided to Administrator Monalyn. |
