25 | On 7/10/2023 at approximately 9:00am, Centralized Application Bureau (CAB) Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Arianna Manabat and LPA Stephanie Piring met with Licensee Representative Lisa Teal for the purpose of an unannounced change of capacity case management inspection. The Licensee requests a total of 24 preschool children ages 2 to entry into kindergarten. The fire clearance was received and granted on 06/27/2024. The program operates Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There are two buildings on site that are used by the facility. The preschool classroom is located is located in room U-4. During today's visit, LPAs observed a sufficient amount of equipment, toys, tables, chairs, nap mats, and cubbies. CAB LPA measured the indoor space and found that the preschool room measured for a total of 1,298.61 square feet, which will accommodate Licensee’s request for 24 preschoolers. There are a total of 3 sinks and 3 toilets located in the room. Additionally, there is a private restroom for staff located inside of the U-2 room.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There are three outdoor areas on site. The yard attached to the U-3/U-4 classrooms is meant for the preschool. The other two outdoor play yards, adjacent to the U-2 room, are dedicated to the infant and toddler program. The outdoor play area is fenced with a chain link fence that is at least four feet tall. LPAs observed a sufficient amount of equipment and toys available for use. There are three play structures in the preschool yard with the label for appropriate ages listed on the structures. The labels state that the structures are meant to be used for ages 2 to 5 years of age. LPAs also noted that there are two sheds located on the preschool yard and they are locked. These sheds house additional playground equipment for the site and are only able to be accessed by the staff members. The facility representative stated that the applicant plans to remove the sheds in the near future. LPA Manabat reminded the facility representative to notify licensing of any changes made to the physical plant.
