25 | On 11/04/2024, Licensing Program Analyst Katy Velazquez (LPA) conducted a Licensee initiated Case Management inspection for the purpose of inspecting the school-age playground after new cushioning was installed under the play structure. LPA arrived at the facility and was met by Director Alyssa DiPippo (D1). LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entrance into the facility. LPA observed a census of 3 school aged aged children. LPA inspected the new cushioning which was installed on 10/18/2024.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There are 2 playgrounds on the property which is used for outdoor play. The 1st playground is for infants only. The 2nd playground is broken into 2 segments for preschool and school aged children to utilize the playground at the same time without co-mingling. LPA did not observe any bodies of water on the premises. There were shaded areas on the school aged playground supplied by overhangs and trees. The outdoor play area is fenced and equipped with children's outdoor play equipment. The outdoor activity space was NOT measured since the playground did not change; only the cushioning was replaced. The play structure was not changed nor replaced. The existing play structure remains anchored and is now cushioned with poured in-place rubber.
Effective today, 11/04/2024, LPA is approving the use of the school aged playground. NO DEFICIENCIES were cited in the areas that were evaluated today. An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with Director DiPippo. Licensee Appeal Rights were provided to D1. A Notice of Site visit was posted by LPA and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements will result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. |
