13 | On 06/14/2023, Licensing Program Analyst Katy Maestas (LPA) conducted an unannounced field visit to deliver the findings for the above allegation. LPA arrived at the facility and was met by Assistant Director Amy Moreno (D1). LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entrance into the facility.
Throughout the course of the investigation, LPA conducted a facility file review, physical plant inspections, on-site observations, and interviews. LPA reviewed and collected documentation pertaining to the allegation. It was alleged that a lack of supervision resulted in a child injuring other children. Interviews and documentation reveal that daycare children were bitten by a day care child; however, this did not occur due to a lack of supervision. The facility was operating within ratio and even provided additional staffing for child shadowing to reduce any potential injuries.
Based on interviews, observations, documentation, and other information gathered, there was not a preponderance of evidence to prove or negate the allegation, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. |
