25 | Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Natalie Dunaway and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gagandeep Singh met with Licensee Representatives, Dana Matthews and Austin Othman, for the purpose of an informal office visit.
LPM defined the difference between non-compliance and an informal meeting. LPM advised that the purpose of today's meeting is to help the facility gain compliance. Today's informal meeting was to discuss the type A and type B citations issued on 6/24/24 during a complaint inspection. On 6/24/24 the facility was cited a type A citation regarding personal rights. The facility was also cited a type B citation for reporting requirements.
The Licensee Representatives and Director stated that they have taken the following steps to maintain compliance:
An all staff training about the personal rights and reporting requirements has been conducted with all staff. The facility is also enforcing the procedure of staff communicating effectively to the facility management about any incident, small or big. The facility is also utilizing the electronic application for daily routine process, but will still use phone calls for incidents at the facility.
LPM and LPA provided information regarding the Technical Support Program (TSP), which is a non-enforcement arm of the Community Care Licensing Division offering onsite support to licensees and providers. Director will follow up with request to LPA for TSP services. LPA discussed using the Department website (ccld.ca.gov) for child care updates, current forms, legislation and regulation information. LPM suggested that Licensee can view information videos at www.ccld.childcarevideos.org .
LPA and LPM discussed that the preschool would remain on required visits for an additional year due the similarity of the personal rights allegation from 2022.
This report was reviewed with the Licensee Representatives and Director.
