Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeremey McClain met with facility representative Stacy Phillips to deliver findings for a complaint investigation. LPA observed 58 children supervised by 11 staff in five separate rooms. The following was alleged: 1) Staff was abusive to children in care 2) Facility is not allowing staff report incidents involving day care children.
During the investigation, LPA conducted interviews with staff, reviewed files, and statement, and attempted to interview children. LPA also reviewed reports from Seta’s Human Resources department. It was alleged that staff witnessed another staff inappropriately tap a child in care and block another against a cubby. It was also alleged that staff were prevented from reporting the allegation to the children’s parents.
Based on the evidence gathered, the preponderance of evidence standard has not been met; therefore, the allegation is determined to be UNSUBSTANTIATED. The allegation can neither be corroborated nor dismissed. Although the allegations may be true, there is not enough conclusive evidence to support either claim. No Title 22 deficiencies will be issued as a result of the investigation. LPA reviewed this report with facility representative Stacy Phillips, and provided a Notice of Site Visit that must be posted for 30 days.
