25 | On Wednesday, July 23, 2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tanya Washington met with Facility Representative, Bhavneet Kaur for the purpose of an unannounced annual/random inspection. During the tour of the facility LPA observed 16 children in classroom #1 supervised by two staff, 8 toddlers under the toddler option in classroom #2 supervised by three staff, classroom #3 was on the playground with two staff and 13 children, classroom #4 had 15 children supervised by two staff and a parent volunteer was present. The facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
LPA toured all classroom spaces, restrooms, and outdoor play areas. LPA observed the following documents are posted: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Earthquake Preparedness, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, menu, and seat belt law. Cleaning disinfectants, medications and hazardous items are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Facility Representative stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, and toileting facilities are in safe, sanitary and operating condition. The program provides breakfast, lunch and snack. Food is prepared at the main SETA cafeteria and delivered to the facility daily. Facility uses Tidy Dity for cot covers and blankets that are cleaned weekly. LPA observed Safe Sleep Logs for toddlers under 2 years old. LPA reviewed storage of medication and expiration dates.
LPA observed trash bins with tight fitted lids. Drinking water is readily available to children indoors and outdoors. LPA observed a container with fresh water in outdoor play area which is accessible to children outside, single use cups are provided for children. Facility utilizes electronic sign in and out system called Child Plus. Facility has record of conducting fire drills at least every six months; last fire drill was conducted June 20, 2025. Playground equipment and surfaces are free of loose or sharp parts. There is sufficient equipment and toys, and there are shaded areas supplied by shade structures and trees.
Four staff and six children's records were reviewed. Both children and staff files were observed to be complete. There is at least one staff member present with a current CPR certificate. LPA observed a functional carbon monoxide detector.
