13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christopher Bello met with Director Cheryl Dawson to close a complaint investigation, regarding the above allegations. Upon arrival, LPA observed 24 Children with eight teachers. LPA made observations, gathered documents pertaining to the investigation and conducted interviews. It was alleged that staff mishandled a daycare child by yanking their arm. It was alleged that a daycare child was confined to their nap area. It was alleged that a daycare child received an injury due to neglect or abuse. It was alleged that the daycare children are not properly supervised. It was alleged that Unqualified staff are supervising children alone. It was alleged that the facility is operating out of Teacher-Child ratio. It was also alleged that staff yell at the daycare children. Interviews, observations, and documents did not corroborate the allegations. Director stated that she has a great relationship with the parents of the facility and when something arises she takes care of the problem.
Based on LPA’s investigation although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is Unsubstantiated.
No Title 22 Deficiencies observed in the areas that were evaluated. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Cheryl Dawson. |
