25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Josiah Gathing and Alize Tillery met with Facility Representative Ryan Suarez for the purpose of an unannounced annual random inspection. Per Facility Representative, there are currently no children enrolled and no staff members on this site.
LPAs toured the Busy Ants play room, rec room, Fire Flies class room, children’s restroom, staff restroom, kitchen, staff lounge, and outdoor play area. Facility Representative stated there are no poisons on the premises. Furniture and equipment are in good condition. Playground equipment and surfaces are free of loose or sharp parts. The areas around or under climbing equipment were cushioned with padded material. Restrooms are in sanitary condition with functioning toilets. The floors appeared clean throughout the facility. The facility is equipped with First Aid equipment.
LPAs discussed the safe sleep regulations with Facility Representative and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed facility representative of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
