Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Maria Mayorga and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelly Ferrara met with the Interim Director Dulcey Hemingsen for an Informal Office visit. Today's meeting was conducted virtually due to the Covid 19 pandemic. LPM defined the difference between a non-compliance conference and an informal meeting. LPM advised Director that the purpose of today's meeting is to help the facility gain compliance. Today's informal meeting is to discuss a child left unattended that was cited on 2/25/22 and Personal Rights deficiencies that were cited on 9/17/21 and 12/7/21. At the time of the Personal Rights citations there was different Interim Director, Maria Harland.

Director stated that she would work with Community Care Licensing to stay in compliance, and that she has taken the following steps:
1. Child left unattended: Director has spoken to staff and trained them, reminding them to follow transition procedures. Director stated the preschool is overstaffed right now and they have new walkie talkies to communicate with the front office if they need assistance. Director stated that she has communicated with staff the need to slow down to ensure the safety of the children.
2. Personal Rights: Director stated staff is being trained often in staff meetings on how to de-escalate a situation. Director stated administrators are monitoring staff and checking in with them. Director stated they are teaching the children coping skills as well to display emotion in a healthy way.

During today's meeting, LPM discussed and reviewed personal rights with Director and ensuring proper supervision. Director acknowledged the importance of the meeting.

A copy of this report was emailed to the Director.
