25 | At 10:30a.m. on Friday, September 13th, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Pa Dao Vang met with Director Classic Lane for the purpose of an unannounced, annual required inspection. LPA observed a census of 6 children supervised by 2 staff. Facility hours of operation are from 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Mondays thru Fridays. Center provides breakfast, lunch, and p.m. snack for the children. The facility does not offer transportation services.
Director was reminded that all adults 18 years of age and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA conducted a health and safety inspection of the classroom (Cornerstones Room), restrooms, and food service area. The facility is using Classrooms 1, 2 and 3 for storage. LPA observed the following documents are posted: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, Earthquake Preparedness, Child Passenger Restraint Poster, Parent’s Notification, LIC613A Person Rights, Daily Activity Schedule, and menus. Cleaning disinfectants, medications and hazardous items are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Furniture and equipment are in good condition. LPA observed a drinking fountain taped off in the Cornerstone room. Director stated the drinking fountain was taped off since COVID and they’ve decided to not reopen it. Drinking water is accessible via water bottles, water filter container, and cups. The water bottles are transitioned with children to different environments.
