25 | On Thursday, June 26, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lea Habtom met with Facility Representative Lin Boyd for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. LPA observed 13 children consisting of 11 preschool and 2 school age children being supervised by 1 staff and the director. The facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday for 24 hours. LPA reminded licensee that a child cannot stay in care for up to 24 hours.
LPA toured all classroom spaces, restroom, and outdoor play area. LPA observed the following documents are posted: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Earthquake Preparedness, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, menu, and seat belt law. Cleaning disinfectants, medications and hazardous items are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Facility Representative stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, and toileting facilities are in safe, sanitary and operating condition. The program provides lunch, AM & PM snack and dinner. Food is prepared at the facility's kitchen.
LPA observed trash bins with tight fitted lids. Drinking water is readily available to children both indoors and outdoors. Facility Representative stated that children bring their own water bottles and are refilled at the facility. LPA observed the facility’s sign in and sign out system using Brightwheel. Facility has record of conducting fire drills at least every six months; last fire drill was conducted May 7, 2025. Playground equipment and surfaces are free of loose or sharp parts. There is sufficient equipment and toys, and there are shaded areas supplied by trees. Children take their water bottles outside.
Staff files were observed and one staff file had expired mandated reporter training. Children's records were reviewed and observed to be complete. There is at least one staff member present with a current CPR certificate. LPA observed a functional carbon monoxide detector.
