32 | At 9:03am, LPA observed Staff #3 supervising 6 children in the "Friends Classroom" and at 9:54am 10 children in the "Friends Classroom". LPA observed Staff #3's personnel file, which revealed that Staff #3 only has 3 units in Child, Growth and Development. Interview with Assistant Director also revealed that Staff #3 has been acting as a qualified teacher and supervising children alone. Staff #3 is an Aide and should be accompanied by a Qualified Teacher. This poses and immediate risk to children, and allegation "Unqualified staff are providing supervision to children in care", is Substantiated. Based on information obtained during observations, interview and record review, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore both allegations are found to be SUBSTANTIATED.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Assistant Director, Vanessa Halliwell.
