25 | On August 9, 2022, at approximately 10:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alize Tillery made an unannounced visit to conduct a case management inspection. Upon arrival LPA observed the Bumblees room that included 10 infants supervised by 3 staff, and the Ladybug room that included 8 infants supervised by 2 staff.
Licensee, Marivel Camasura, has remodeled that "Outdoor Play Area" next to the Bumblebees Room and would like to include the area on the license, to be used as an extra outdoor space for infants. LPA observed an iron fence surrounding the area to be at least 4 feet tall, age appropriate toys and equipment, and shaded areas provided by the building. The "Outdoor Play Area" was previously measured at 165.39 sq. ft. This will accommodate two infant children to use this space at once. The program will also continue to use the "Rooftop Play Area" for the infants, which is currently being shared with the Preschool children, measuring at 1,359 sq. ft. There is a waiver on file and program has a schedule on file to ensure the infant and preschool children do not commingle on the "Rooftop Play Area".
The total square footage for the Infant Outdoor Play area, is now 1,524.39 sq. ft.
As of today, the program can use the "Outdoor Play Area" space for no more than 2 infant children at once, whom must be supervised by a qualified infant teacher.
During todays inspection, no deficiencies were observed. LPA reviewed the report with Licensee and provided a notice of site visit, which must remain posted for 30 days. |
