On February 19, 2025, Licensing Program Managers (LPMs) Seychelle De Luca and Mai Lor and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kyrsten Williams met with facility representatives, Josephine Patria Lal and Erin Kim. The purpose of this meeting is for an Informal Office Visit.

LPM defined the difference between a Non-Compliance Meeting and an Informal Meeting. LPM advised that the purpose of today’s meeting is to help the facility gain compliance.

Today’s informal meeting was to discuss the Type A citation issued on January 23, 2025, during a case management inspection to follow up on a self reported unusual incident. The facility was cited the Type A citation regarding absence of supervision .

The director stated they have taken the following steps to maintain compliance:
  1. Staff received direct re-training from program specialist on effective safety and supervision.
  2. A new safety and supervision plan and new zoning map has been created.
  3. Facility has implemented a roll call sheet when going outside and returning inside.
  4. Staff received an additional re-training on 2/19/2025.

LPA and LPMs reviewed supervision requirements. LPMs and LPA provided information regarding the Technical Support Program (TSP), which is a non-enforcement arm of the Community Care Licensing Division offering on-site support to licensees and providers. LPA will follow up with child care center orientation information. LPMs discussed using the department website (www.ccld.ca.gov) for child care updates, current forms, legislation and regulation information. LPMs suggested the director can view information videos at www.ccld.childcarevideos.org.

This report was reviewed with the facility representatives.
