On 01/16/2025, at 9:00 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Pa Dao Vang met with Licensee, Linda Lawrence, for the purpose of an unannounced, annual/random inspection. There were 10 daycare children and an assistant present during inspection. Licensee stated that there are 15 children currently enrolled. Facility hours of operation are from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Off limits areas include the outdoor side yard located on the right, upstairs with 3 bedrooms, back of the outdoor playhouse, basement, dinning, and living room.

All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. LPA observed the required postings, a working phone, 3A-40-BC fire extinguisher, functioning carbon monoxide and smoke alarm detectors. Licensee stated that there are no smoking, no weapons, nor poisons in the home. Toxic and hazardous items were appropriately stored, inaccessible to children. LPA observed the last fire drill log on 11/5/2024.

LPA reviewed staff files. Licensee’s CPR/First Aid certification expires on 01/4/2026 and Mandated Reporter Training expired on 011/29/2026. LPA reviewed only 3 children's file with all the required forms.

APPLICANT RENTS THE HOME: Applicant understands that she may operate with 14 children in care at a time.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage athttps://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. LPA discussed about the infant sleep log required for each child under the ages of 1years old. Licensee is currently not caring for infants.



This provider is not currently providing Incidental Medical Services IMS services to children in care. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the department.

During the exit interview, the LICENSEE Linda Lawrence, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.

In the areas that were evaluated, no deficiencies were cited during inspection accordance with the California Code of Regulations, Title 22. An exit interview was conducted, and report was reviewed with the LICENSEE Linda Lawrence. A Notice of Site Visit and appeal rights were given and must remain posted for 30 days.
