25 | On Friday, March 21, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amanda Sutter met with Licensee, Kristen Bradford, for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. Upon arrival, LPA observed licensee and her assistant supervising 4 children. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. LPA observed proper ratio and capacity was being followed. Facility hours of operation Monday through Sunday, 24 hours a day.
A health and safety evaluation was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off-limit areas include: laundry room, backyard, bedroom 1 and bathroom 2, and bedroom 3. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. LPA observed that the facility is clean, safe, sanitary, and in good repair. LPA observed a functioning smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, and a full 2A10BC fire extinguisher. The facility has adequate toys that appear to be safe for children to use. The licensee stated there are no weapons or poisons in the home. LPA observed a fireplace to be barricaded according to regulation. LPA did not observe any bodies of water. The front yard is fenced.
LPA reviewed three children’s files which were observed to be complete. LPA reviewed Licensee’s assistant’s file and did not observe immunizations. Required postings and the children’s roster were observed. LPA observed 15-minute observation checks for napping infants. The facility has record of conducting fire drills at least every 6 months. The last fire drill was conducted 1/2/2025. Licensee’s CPR/First Aid card expires 3/2026. Licensee and her assistant did not have a current Mandated Reporter certificate. Licensee understands that trainings must be completed every two years.
LPA verified that the annual fees are current. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
