25 | On Tuesday, 29 May, 2024, at approximately 9:30am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Fabian Schwartz met with Licensee, Svetlana Solenaya, for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. Also present was licensee’s adult son Michael Solenyi who provided translation services, Licensee’s primary language is Russian. Upon arrival, LPA observed licensee supervising 3 children. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. LPA observed proper ratio and capacity was being followed. Facility hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:00am-7:00pm. LPA verified that the annual fees are current.
A health and safety evaluation was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Facility is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom one story home Off-limit areas include: ALL BEDROOMS, MASTER BATHROOM, HALLWAY BATHROOM, AND BACKYARD. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. LPA observed that the facility is clean, safe, sanitary, and in good repair. LPA observed a functioning smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, and a full 2A10BC fire extinguisher. The facility has adequate toys that appear to be safe for children to use. The licensee stated there are no weapons or poisons in the home. LPA observed that there is a fenced backyard with no pool.
LPA reviewed 2 children’s files which were observed to be complete. 1 child present did not have any files on record. Required postings were seen on right wall of entrance door and the children’s roster was observed. The facility does not have a record of conducting fire drills at least every 6 months. Licensee’s CPR/First Aid card expires 2 Apr 2026. Licensee’s does not have a completed Mandated Reporter certificate due to her primary language being Russian. Licensee understands that trainings must be completed every two years.
