25 | On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lea Habtom met with Licensee, Alexander Maryanov, for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. Upon arrival, LPA observed licensee and his spouse supervising 3 napping and 1 awake preschool children. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. Licensee confirmed that there are no new residents or employees since the last inspection. LPA observed proper ratio and capacity was being followed. Facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
A health and safety evaluation was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off-limit areas include: the entire upstairs, garage (laundry room), the fence area in the backyard and the side yard. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. LPA observed that the facility is clean, safe, sanitary, and in good repair. LPA observed a functioning smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, and a full 2A10BC fire extinguisher. The facility has adequate toys that appear to be safe for children to use. Licensee states weapons and ammunition are locked and stored separately in an off limits area. There are no poisons in the home. The backyard is fenced and there are no bodies of water.
LPA reviewed two children’s files which were observed to be complete. Required postings and the children’s roster were observed. Licensee has 1 infant enrolled. Licensee last conducted a fire drill on 11/27/2024. Licensee’s CPR/First Aid card expires 10/2025. Mandated reporter training is not offered in licensee's primarily language. Licensee understands that trainings must be completed every two years.
Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
