25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gagandeep Singh met with licensee, Amy Gutierrez, for an unannounced annual inspection. The purpose of the inspection was explained. Licensee lives in single story home. Present, there are 11 children in care with licensee and one helper. All adults living or working in the home have criminal background check on file. Licensee is operating within the capacity of this date. Licensee provides day care from Monday to Friday between 7 AM to 5:30 PM.
LPA inspected the day care areas with the licensee. Day Care Areas: Kitchen, Dining area, Living room, Hallway, Bathroom in hallway and the backyard. Off limit areas: All bedrooms and Garage. During inspection, LPA observed the pool has at least five feet high fence with self latching gate installed. LPA observed the fence gate is locked and pool is inaccessible for the children. As per licensee, there is no firearm or weapon in the house. All the cleaning supplies, poisons and other chemicals are stored inaccessible to the children. Cabinets in kitchen and bathroom have child protective locks installed. Fireplace is barricaded. The house is in good repair and free of hazards with proper temperature and ventilation. There are multiple carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors in the house. There is fully charged fire extinguisher and working telephone available in the house. There is a variety of age appropriate toys in the house.
LPA reviewed the facility records. LPA observed licensee has License and other required documents posted in the hallway. Licensee has record of training of preventive health and CPR card valid until August 05, 2025. Licensee has a fire drill log in place and per log, last drill was conducted on August 08, 2023. LPA observed a well maintained children roster on file. LPA also reviewed the present children's record. LPA reviewed the identification and emergency information form for every child for proper names and numbers filled. Licensee has record of immunization of each child in care. Licensee has the completion certificate for Mandated reporter training on file. Per certificate, the training is valid until November 28, 2023. See next page for continuation .... |
